Statement

I am a Canadian painter based in Saskatoon, working primarily in oil on linen and canvas. My work explores the relationship between the natural world and human society, drawing on animals, landscapes, and the forces that shape our shared environment.

Inspired by time spent in nature, photography, and nocturnal dreamscapes, I bring observed and imagined worlds into conversation. Through colour, atmosphere, and symbolic form, I explore the beauty, tension, and disruption within living systems.

My current paintings are rooted in a curiosity about how we inhabit and experience the world.
I am inviting viewers to look beyond the surface, consider our interconnectedness, and find their own place within the story.

Based in Saskatoon, I have also spent over two decades as an artist-in-residence at St. Paul’s Hospital, where I co-founded the Healing Arts Program. This experience continues to inform my understanding of art as a practice of connection and care.
