These paintings emerge from recurring dreams, memories, and encounters with the natural world, where boundaries begin to shift and something wilder reveals itself.

A childhood dream returned again and again: becoming small enough to cross a narrow threshold, entering a world behind the wall where time unfolds and stands still for no one.
Fifty years later, I return to that threshold, searching for what still grows wild within the machinery that shapes us.

This painting emerged from my nighttime flights-dreams so real they linger long after waking. In these nocturnal journeys, I weave through power lines and clouds until suddenly there is nothing above me but open sky. Weightless.
The utility pole in our yard, where crows, magpies, and bluebirds gather each morning to greet me, naturally found its way into this work. The painting first took shape as a photographic collage before moving to canvas.
