The Girl emerged from my nighttime flights-dreams so real they linger long after waking. In these nocturnal journeys, I weave through power lines and clouds until suddenly there is nothing above me but open sky. Weightless.

The utility pole in our yard, where crows, magpies, and bluebirds gather each morning to greet me, naturally found its way into this work. The painting first took shape as a photographic collage before moving to canvas.
